Here's how a great night works: it builds. Turn It Up starts with a room full of your girls singing to music nobody else can hear, and it finishes on a real dance floor with the speakers pumping and the bride right in the middle of it. It's made for the dance-all-night group, and for a bride who has never once met a chorus she didn't want to sing.
It starts with a clink. Your own VIP room in Melbourne's CBD is booked for two hours, glowing pink with hanging greenery and stunning decor that make every angle a good one. A cocktail is in every hand the moment you arrive, and the group chat is already filling up with photos. Take a second to look around at the girls, dressed up and giddy, because this is the calm before a very happy storm.
Then it gets louder, in the strangest way. The headphones come out for a two hour silent disco, just for your group, with the headphones and music included. Anyone peeking in would swear the girls were dancing to nothing at all. Inside the headphones, the whole crew is singing at the top of their lungs. Prop a phone up in the corner and film the room, because that video of the crew dancing their hearts out to what looks like total silence is the one everyone will be asking for.
Keep an eye on the bride. Somewhere around the third song she stops caring who's watching, and that's the moment you'll want to remember.
Then it gets delicious. The headphones come off and the crew settles into a reserved seating area in our main dining room, where delicious share plates arrive for the table. There's a bonus cocktail heading to the bride, and a very spirited debate about whose dance moves won the room.
And then, finally, it gets loud. It's an easy teeter, even in dancing shoes, down a Melbourne laneway to our glam cocktail lounge, where your VIP booth is reserved for two hours with the cover charge waived. Slide into the velvet under custom neon while a surprise bottle of bubbly pops for your hen. Then the speakers take over with the dance floor right on your doorstep, and it's time to turn it all the way up and dance the night away.
By the last song, the bride will be in the middle of that dance floor with her arm around you, voice gone and grin going nowhere. You built that crescendo, one song at a time.
