Sign Her Masterpiece. Toast The Artist.
You need a hens the whole group can say yes to, from the maid of honour to the future mother-in-law, and a bride who loves every minute of it. Colour Me Married is that night. It starts gently with a watercolour class and a cocktail in a room of your own, then turns up the glamour with share plates and a velvet VIP booth. Nobody gets dragged on stage, and everybody goes home with something she made.
Your private room at our CBD cocktail bar is yours for two hours, right in the heart of the city. Neon signs glow against soft pink hues and hanging greenery, and a house cocktail arrives for everyone as the aprons go on. It's calm and it's all yours, which means the first toast to the bride can be as long and as teary as the maid of honour likes.
Your personal artist host walks the whole group through the painting step by step, with every art material included, so the confident painters and the nervous ones end up in exactly the same place: laughing at their own brushwork. With a bigger group, the room gets wonderfully loud. There's space for the perfectionist and the free spirit, and nobody minds which one you are. Keep an eye on the future mother-in-law. It's often the quiet ones who produce the painting everyone else is jealous of.
Here's our tip: make the bride sign her painting first. Consider it a practice run for the marriage certificate. Everyone takes a painting home, and the bride's is the one the whole group will want a photo with.
When the class wraps, your reserved table is ready in the dining room for the chef's selection share plates. Pass the plates around and let the bride crown a winner from the paintings. Her bonus cocktail arrives right on cue, because the artist of the hour gets the special treatment.
Then it's an easy teeter to a hidden laneway lounge, where VIP entry is sorted and the cover charge is waived. A plush velvet booth is yours for two hours under glittering pendants and custom neon, and the surprise is already on its way: a bottle of bubbly for your hen, poured for the group to toast the newly signed artist. In the booth, the low light and velvet feel a world away from the afternoon's brushes. The dance floor is on the doorstep, so bring your moves and dance the night away.
When she raises her glass in that booth and the whole group toasts the artist, watch her turn and toast you, standing right beside her. The real masterpiece was the planning.
With a bigger group, a fixed date makes every yes come faster, so let's check yours first. Call or chat with us on 1300 339 734, or send us a message through Our Contact Form and we'll check your date. Sign here, bride-to-be.
