Raise A Glass. Then Make One.
Here's to the bride with an eye for beautiful things, the one whose friends always know exactly which vase she would pick. Raise a Glass is a day of toasts and a day of glass, and it gives a small, close crew of her favourite people something to raise and something to create, from a sunny rooftop to a velvet booth after dark.
The first glass goes up on our stunning rooftop bar, where breathtaking views stretch across the city skyline and swaying palm fronds frame every photo. Your reserved seating is waiting among oversized Hamptons-style lounges and lush greenery, and a bottle of bubbly is popped for the group as you settle in. Clink clink! Once the bottle is empty, the discounted cocktail menu makes "just one more" very easy to say yes to, and if Melbourne decides to throw a shower at you, the retractable canvas roof keeps the rain out and everybody's hair perfect.
Then the afternoon heads into the heart of the city for the main event.
Your own VIP room is waiting for two hours, all stunning decor, with pink hues and neon glowing over hanging greenery. A round of cocktails lands in every hand as you walk in. Glass number two, raised. Then your expert artist host sets out a template for each of you along with all the tools and materials, and the two hour glass fusing workshop begins: gorgeous shapes and glass details in every colour, arranged piece by piece into a vase or platter of your own design. The room goes quiet in that lovely, concentrating way, then loud again every time somebody holds up her finished piece.
Here's the clever bit. Every piece is a keepsake of her hens, made by the girls who love her most, and it will be on display long after the last photo is posted. And the bride? She has a surprise kit waiting just for her, a DIY hanging decor kit gifted to her as a little extra from the day.
When the room time is done, the celebration moves out to your reserved table in the main dining room, where delicious share plates arrive and a bonus cocktail heads straight to the bride. Glass number three, if you're counting.
The last glass of the night waits an easy teeter away, down a Melbourne laneway at our glam cocktail lounge. The cover charge is waived and a VIP booth is yours for two hours. As you sink into the velvet under glittering pendants, a surprise bottle of bubbly arrives for your hen. Pop! Glass number four, and the sparkliest yet. The dance floor is right there whenever the girls are ready to dance the night away.
So here's the last toast, and it's for you. With a handmade treasure on its way back to her and her favourite girls all around her, the bride will raise her glass to the one who planned the day, and every glass in that booth will follow hers.
