Your bride is the friend with a wedge of brie on standby for emergencies, and her dinner parties always run late because nobody ever wants to leave. Resin To Celebrate is her turn to be the guest. Her five closest girls gather round the table beside her for an afternoon of pouring and swirling glossy resin cheeseboards, then the night moves on to share plates and a velvet VIP booth. Tonight, the hostess with the mostest gets a night off from hosting!
It all begins at our CBD venue, in a VIP room that's yours for two whole hours. Pink hues, glowing neon signs, hanging greenery and sleek touches set the scene, and the stunning decor means the first photo happens before anyone has put her bag down. A cocktail lands in every hand as you walk in. Clink clink, the hens has officially begun!
Then the table starts to glitter. Your personal resin artist host brings shimmering pigments, glossy resin, sleek wooden boards and an apron for everyone, so every art material you need is already waiting. This two hour resin board workshop is just for your group, and your host guides you step by step as you pour the resin, then swirl the colours into patterns that are completely your own. Decorate your way, whether that means bold and glittering or sleek and minimal. The bride, naturally, goes exactly as extra as she likes.
Keep an eye on her face as her board takes shape, because she is already deciding which cheese gets the honour of going on it first. When the boards are lined up side by side, that's the photo for the group chat. And when the workshop wraps, every guest has a board of her own, carefully packed in its own box and carry bag, ready to take home.
By now the afternoon has slid into evening, and the celebration moves into our main dining area, where a reserved seating area is set for the girls. Delicious share plates start arriving for the table, and the first cocktail off the bar is the bride's bonus one. The woman who always makes sure everyone else is fed finally gets served first, and she is loving every second of it.
But the night isn't done with her yet. It's an easy teeter to a Melbourne laneway and our glam cocktail lounge, where the cover charge is waived and your VIP booth is held for two hours. Plush velvet and glittering pendants, all washed in the glow of custom neon. Just as everyone settles in, out comes a surprise bottle of bubbly for your hen, and for once, somebody else is doing the pouring for her. When her song comes on, the dance floor is right there, so dance the night away.
Now fast forward to her first dinner party as a married woman. The brie comes out on a board she poured herself, and when somebody asks where it came from, she tells the story of her hens all over again, starting with your name.
