Somewhere in your group is a woman who has waited her whole life for someone to hand her a chair and cue the music. It might be the bride. It might be the friend who swears she can't dance and offers to hold everyone's drinks, right up until the beat drops and she is flicking her hair over the back of a chair like she was born for the stage. Take a Seat is for the bride who wants a proper belly laugh with her girls, and for a group that would rather cheer each other on than stand around wondering what happens next. Nobody needs to be fit and nobody needs to have danced before. It's her hens after all, so pull up a chair and let's go, girls!
We begin rather sweetly in a fabulous studio in the heart of the CBD, all tall mirrors and soft light, with a class that is private for your group. A glass of bubbly on arrival lands in every hand, because a little liquid courage never hurt a hair flick. Then your professional dance instructor cues the music and hands out the accessories, and your sixty-minute chair dance class is officially on. Sit, spin, pose, repeat!
Here is the secret nobody tells you about chair dancing: it is ridiculously fun. The routine builds count by count and the drama gets bigger with every run-through, until the whole room dissolves into giggles somewhere around the slow turn. Your bride is front and centre, owning every angle while her girls whoop from their chairs. By the final run the quiet friend is serving more attitude than anyone, and the group chat is going to hear all about it.
Cheeks flushed and confidence sky high, the night changes gear. Want to glide over together? Add our private transfer and simply walk out to your driver. Next stop is our tropical garden bar in the vibrant Valley, where palms sway over lush greenery and pink flamingos stand guard like they knew a bride was coming. Your reserved space for the group is waiting, so the bags go down and the stories start straight away. A glass of bubbly or a beer arrives for each of the girls, and the first toast goes to the star of the chair routine. Clink clink!
Then the delicious share plates start landing in the middle of the table, made for passing around while everyone relives the routine. And here comes the moment made just for her. A bonus cocktail for the hen arrives and her girls cheer like she just won a dance-off. With all those playful tropical accents framing her, this is the photo that ends up on the fridge.
Just when the girls think they have peaked, the night heads for the dance floor. Entry is included at our neon-lit late-night venue, and your VIP booth is reserved for an hour and a half, with a bottle of bubbly for the group to pop as you slide in. The bride's booth moment comes with a bonus drinks package of her own, one more toast before she's dragged back out to the floor. The booth is your base and the dance floor is calling. Every so often somebody drags the bride out to show the room what she learned on a chair today. Fair warning, the hair flick will make a comeback.
