Every good love story starts small, and hers has grown all the way into a wedding. So this hens starts small too, with tiny gardens in glass, then grows through share plates and a bonus cocktail into a velvet booth and a dance floor full of her favourite girls. Budding Bride is made for the girl with a windowsill full of plants and a heart full of romance. It starts sweet and crafty, and then it is absolutely not sweet at all.
The first bud opens in your own private room in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, yours for two whole hours. Neon signs glow against a blush of pink hues while greenery trails overhead through the stunning decor, and a round of cocktails arrives as you walk through the door. Cheers to the bride, and to everything that's growing.
Your dedicated artist host has brought the whole garden to you, with all terrarium materials included and an apron for everyone. Then the building begins. Each of you creates your own miniature garden in a compact glass vessel, placing greenery just so and rearranging tiny details until they are almost unbearably cute. The bride's vessel attracts a small committee of advisors, every one of them certain it needs one more little touch. Honestly? It does.
By the time the aprons come off, there is a whole row of tiny gardens on the table, each as different as the girl who made it. They all come home with you, and hers is the kind of keepsake that sits on her windowsill and brings this day straight back. Grab the photo of the whole row, with the bride's in pride of place.
Next stop, dinner. Your reserved table in the main dining room fills with delicious share plates while a bonus cocktail lands in front of your hen. She is in full bloom now.
Then an easy teeter down a Melbourne laneway, and the budding bride blossoms into a party girl. Our glam cocktail lounge waives the cover charge, and your VIP booth is reserved for two hours under glittering pendants and custom neon, with low lighting and plush velvet to sink into. Once you're settled, the surprise arrives: a bottle of bubbly for your hen. Pop! When the music lifts, the dance floor is right on the doorstep. Out you go, girls, and dance the night away.
And when the surprise bubbly lands and the bride hands the very first glass to you, that's her thank you. Organiser of the year, in full bloom.
