Is Melbourne ready for this bride? We honestly don't think so. Bootylicious Bride is a Saturday for the seven of you, bride included, who plan to spend the afternoon learning to move like Beyonce and the evening proving it. Rooftop bubbly to start. A glam room of your own for the lesson. Share plates to refuel. A velvet VIP booth for the encore.
First, the warm-up nobody complains about. Our stunning rooftop bar is all oversized Hamptons-style lounges and swaying palm fronds, with breathtaking views of the city skyline stretched out behind the bride. Settle into your reserved seating as a bottle of bubbly arrives for the group. Clink clink! Our discounted cocktail menu is right there if anyone fancies a cocktail with a view. Get the bride to the front of the lounges for the first photo of the day, skyline behind her and bubbly in hand, because that one is going straight to the group chat.
Then the afternoon changes gear and heads for a glam VIP room in the city centre, yours for two hours, where the pink glow and neon signs are the backdrop and a round of cocktails is ready as you arrive. Got hens games? Now's the moment, while the cocktails are fresh and the nerves are still pretending to be calm.
Now, the lesson. Your private dance instructor has the music ready and a costume for the bride, and the rest of you get fun accessories to play with. For one hour it's flirty and fierce Beyonce-inspired moves, and yes, there will be booty involved. Expect at least one friend to discover her inner Sasha Fierce, and at least one to discover she has no idea what her hips are doing. Both end up on video.
Hips duly shaken, the celebration moves out to the reserved seating area waiting for you in the dining room. Delicious share plates keep everyone fuelled, and a bonus cocktail heads to the bride, because a bootylicious bride should never have to wait for a drink.
And now for the encore. Our glam cocktail lounge is a quick strut from the table, tucked down a Melbourne laneway, where the door means VIP entry and the cover charge is waived. Two hours in your reserved VIP booth, low lit and velvet soft, with glittering pendants above you and the dance floor right beside you. A surprise bottle of bubbly for your hen arrives, and the girls know the cue. Up you get, ladies, because tonight the bride dances the night away with her girls right behind her.
When she's mid-routine in front of the booth with her girls behind her, grinning like she's headlining a stadium, look around. You did that. Somebody get the organiser a cocktail of her own.
