Welcome to Doing Time, the hens night that starts behind bars and ends on the dance floor, with a whole squad of accomplices in matching orange beside her. It's made for the group that wants a story to tell, and trust us, this one practically tells itself.
Our immersive prison cocktail bar is a fully realised prison world, brought to life by professional actors playing the Warden and the Guards, along with a colourful cast of fellow inmates. Everyone gets an orange prison jumpsuit, and everyone gets pulled into the plot. Organisers tell us the same thing again and again: everybody joins in. Even the friend who usually hangs back at parties ends up fully committed to the story, and with a big group, that energy spreads fast.
Four rounds of drinks arrive through the twists and turns, so the cheers keep coming. Keep your head down or try to talk your way out of it; either way, the story has plans for you. For the camera roll: the whole squad in matching orange with the bride right in the middle, and not one straight face among you. Maximum security fun, and a lot of very incriminating photos.
Parole comes through just in time for dinner. Jumpsuits off, heels back on. The squad heads for our pink-hued cocktail bar in the heart of the CBD, where pink velvet booths line the room and neon kisses glow on the walls. Your reserved table is ready for everyone, with a house cocktail each the moment you arrive. The chef's selection share plates keep the table happy, and the bride gets a bonus cocktail of her own. Time off for good behaviour, obviously. It's a room made for cheering the guest of honour, and after the afternoon she's had, this squad has plenty to cheer about.
The last chapter is the one nobody will believe when you tell it. Down a Melbourne laneway, our glam cocktail lounge is waiting with VIP entry and the cover charge waived, and a plush velvet VIP booth is yours for two hours. Glittering pendants hang over custom neon, and then the surprise lands: a bottle of bubbly for your hen, poured out for the whole squad to toast her. Sink into the velvet and let the low light do its thing. The dance floor is right on the doorstep, so there is just one thing left to do. Dance the night away.
When the bride looks around that booth at the squad who did time with her, she'll know exactly who masterminded the whole job. The evidence is overwhelming, and you're standing right next to her.
