Her favourite girls have planned a lovely afternoon for her. They've also been keeping a little something to themselves. Brushes & Biceps is made for her inner circle, six or seven of you with the bride. The brushes come out in the afternoon. The biceps arrive later. (If she's already in on the plan, the countdown is half the fun.)
Our hens games and printables come with every booking, as do custom invite templates to get the invitations out.
Up on the rooftop, with palm fronds overhead and the city spread out below, a canvas and an apron are waiting at every place. The crew's bottle of bubbly is on the table. Someone already knows which colour the bride will reach for first, and someone else is taking an apron photo before a single brush is wet.
Your artist guides the two-hour class bit by bit, with a little encouragement whenever someone pauses over the next detail.
It's a small table, so nobody misses a thing. The bride gets lost in her canvas. Someone looks at it and says, "That is so you," and it isn't even finished yet.
At one point the bride says what a lovely afternoon this is. Two of her friends share a smile and go straight back to painting.
Everyone lines up with her canvas for the inner-circle photo. The bride decides she's rather proud of hers, and the friend next to her agrees on the spot. Each canvas goes home with the girl who painted it.
Then it's pink neon for a cocktail each, with tapas to share. A bonus cocktail arrives for the bride, and the table makes a fuss of her all over again. A friend checks the time, just once. When the bride asks what's next, she gets a smile and not much else.
Her girls have been very pleased with the plan all afternoon. She finds out why in the laneways. Entry is included and your booth is reserved for two hours with a shared bottle. Then her own topless waiter joins you for those two hours.
She looks at him, then at the friend who organised this. The friend tries an innocent face. It doesn't last. "We thought you'd appreciate the service."
Once the giggles settle, he makes sure the bride's glass is full and starts chatting with her friends. With two hours in your own booth, there's time for photos and a proper laugh, and the secret is finally out.
An earlier start is easy too: brunch before the rooftop is an add-on at extra cost.
