Meet Your Muse. Hold That Pose.
This one is for the bride who swears she can't draw a stick figure, and for the friends who cannot wait to watch her try. Muse Material turns her Saturday afternoon into the cheekiest art class of her life, with just the six of you, bride included, plus one very handsome model who takes his job extremely seriously. Well, mostly seriously. It's her hens after all, and somebody has to paint those abs!
It all begins in your own private room at our Melbourne CBD venue, where girly pink hues, glowing neon signs, hanging greenery and sleek decor set the scene before anyone has touched a brush. The door swings open and there he is: your hunky topless waiter, tray in hand, delivering a cocktail to every guest on arrival. Clink clink! He's yours for two whole hours, private to your group and pure eye candy, so the first toast and the first "is he really standing like that?" both happen in a room that is all yours.
Then the aprons go on over the party outfits and your own artist host sets out every material you need. Today's subject strikes his first pose. Yes, him. The girls squint with serious artistic intent while some wildly different versions of the same six-pack start appearing around the room. Your host guides everyone step by step, so even the bride who called herself hopeless ends up with a canvas she's genuinely proud of. Between poses he keeps the giggles coming with a hens game or two and makes very sure the bride gets his most flattering angle. Just imagine the look on her face when she steps back and realises she has actually captured him!
Before the room wraps up, line every canvas up beside the man himself for the group photo. That one is going straight to the group chat, and everyone takes her canvas home, so every portrait comes with a story that starts "so, at the hens..."
When the paint is drying, the celebration moves out into the main dining room, where your reserved table is waiting and the delicious share plates start landing. Of course, a bonus cocktail heads straight for your hen, because a woman who has just finished her first portrait gets perks.
But the afternoon was just the warm-up. As evening rolls in, it's an easy teeter, even in heels, to our glam laneway cocktail lounge, where VIP entry is sorted and the cover charge is waived. Your reserved VIP booth is ready for two hours: plush velvet, custom neon signs, glittering pendants and that low, flattering light that makes every photo look expensive. Then the surprise lands at the booth, a bottle of bubbly for your hen. Pop and pour! And when the music starts calling, the dance floor is right there on your doorstep.
From a room full of neon and one very patient muse to a velvet booth and a dance floor, it's a Saturday that just keeps getting cheekier.
