Welcome to our golden hotel cocktail bar, the kind of room that makes everyone stand a little taller the second they walk in. Gold accents shimmer under warm lighting while chic local artwork frames every photo. The plush lounges, meanwhile, somehow convince everyone to stay for just one more. This is golden bar glamour at its shiniest. Your reserved celebration space for the group is ready, and a glass of bubbly on arrival lands in every hand before anyone has even put her bag down. Then the delicious share plates start arriving in the middle of the table, so everyone reaches in and keeps talking instead of disappearing to order one by one. And just as the table is buzzing, a bonus cocktail for the hen arrives, made just for her. Bride privileges, fully activated! But a night this polished needs a little mischief after dark. Lipstick topped up, it's out into the night air and on to our glam cocktail lounge, tucked down a Melbourne laneway, where the gold gives way to custom neon and plush velvet. Your group skips the cover charge and settles into a VIP booth kept for you for two whole hours, with a bottle of bubbly arriving for everyone to share. Hello, second wind!
The booth is home base for the rest of the night: close enough to the dancefloor to answer the call of a good song, and cosy enough for the conversations that only happen once the heels come off. Somewhere in there it turns into one big group hug, with the bride squarely in the middle.
