Let's start at the end. It's late and the seven of you are on the dance floor, arms in the air, singing at the bride. She is doing a move she learnt a few hours earlier, badly and beautifully, and nobody has ever looked happier. This is her last dance as a Miss. Now, let's rewind to how you got here, because Last Dance is a disco Saturday built backwards from that exact moment.
Rewind a few hours. The day begins in a glam VIP room in the heart of the city, pink hued and neon lit, with hanging greenery and the kind of stunning decor that makes every angle a good one. The room is yours for two whole hours. A cocktail each arrives as you do. First toast: to the bride's final chapter as a single lady. Hens games and the embarrassing photo slideshow on somebody's phone both belong in this room, so bring them.
Then the music starts. Your private dance instructor takes the room through an hour of disco, with fun accessories for the group and a costume for the bride, who suddenly looks ready for her disco close-up. The moves are funky and fun, and nobody needs to have done this before. The bride might protest for about thirty seconds. Then she's leading. By the end of the hour, the girls have a routine and the bride has a signature move she will be doing at the wedding. Probably.
Then it's out to your reserved seating area, where delicious share plates keep the energy up and a bonus cocktail finds its way to the bride. The playback starts before the plates are even down, and before long somebody is demanding a do-over. It's that kind of table.
And then, the part we started with. A short stroll takes you to our glam cocktail lounge, tucked down a Melbourne laneway, where you walk in on VIP entry with no cover charge. Your VIP booth, reserved for two whole hours, is plush velvet under glittering pendants and custom neon, and a surprise bottle of bubbly for your hen arrives to make it official. The dance floor is right there, ready for her to dance the night away. Look closely and it's the scene we started with, the bride in the middle and her girls all around her. You know what happens next. You've already seen it.
