The bubbly is cold and the rooftop palms are swaying. In the middle of it all stands the bride, glass raised, with her favourite people gathered around her. That is how Celestial Bride begins, and the day keeps rising from there. This one is for the bride who can recite her whole birth chart and keeps a moon calendar on the fridge. Every girl in her orbit is welcome, from the devoted astrologer to the friend who still isn't sure what a rising sign is.
Our stunning rooftop bar is a little oasis in the afternoon, all lush greenery, oversized Hamptons-inspired lounges, swaying palm fronds and breathtaking views out across the city skyline. Your reserved area is ready, and a bottle of house bubbly greets you on arrival for the group to pour. Raise the first glass to her. Clink clink! Our discounted cocktail menu is there for anyone ready for round two, and if Melbourne tries four seasons in one afternoon, the retractable canvas roof keeps the rain out and your hair dry.
As the afternoon softens, the day slips into its second chapter: your own private VIP room in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, yours alone for two hours. Think a pink-hued room glowing with neon, where greenery hangs from above and the decor is stunning from every angle, with a round of cocktails waiting as you walk in. Spread across the table is everything you need to make a little magic: fresh and dried flowers, foliage, gemstones, chains, mini mushrooms and decorative extras, plus the tools and an apron for everyone.
Your dedicated artist host moves around the table, sharing the tricks that turn a pile of blooms into a crescent moon. Everyone designs her own, so no two wreaths come out alike, and the one in the middle, the bride's, gets the most advice from the most people. By the end of the two hours there is a whole constellation of moons on the table and a camera roll full of them. Each wreath heads home in its own carry bag, and hers will hang somewhere she sees it every day, a little piece of her hens that never gets packed away.
Moons safely bagged, the girls claim their reserved table in the main dining room. The share plates begin to land and a bonus cocktail sails straight to your hen. She is the centre of this universe today, and everyone at the table knows it.
Then, as the evening arrives, the celestial bride trades sunshine for starlight, and it's just an easy teeter to get there. Your VIP booth at our glam laneway cocktail lounge is reserved for two hours, cover charge waived, where plush velvet and low lighting meet custom neon, and glittering pendants make everyone look like a star. The surprise? A bottle of bubbly for your hen, delivered to the booth. With the dance floor on the doorstep, the girls will be dancing the night away before the first glass is empty.
From the first glass on the rooftop to the last song under the pendants, it is her day, written in the stars.
