Pale Ales First. Vows Later.
Forget the wine list. Your bride wants to know what is on tap. Hops Before Vows is the hens day for the bride who knows her pale ale from her pilsner, and for every girl who has ever been dragged to a wine tasting and quietly asked for a beer. There is a private bus doing all the driving and two breweries pouring tastings, with a pizza lunch along the way. After that, a Bavarian beer hall and a velvet VIP booth are still to come. Consider it a very thorough celebration of your bride to beer.
The day kicks off when your private bus and driver pull up for the pick up, and from that moment nobody in the group is the designated driver. Your inner city brewery tour takes in two incredible breweries, with tastings at each stop, and everyone lets the bride have first sip, obviously. There will be one beer she falls head over heels for and one that makes somebody pull a face, and you will want both reactions on camera. Somewhere along the way a delicious pizza lunch lands in front of the crew, which keeps everyone happy and upright for the big afternoon ahead. By the second brewery, even the wine girls have picked a favourite.
Then the bus drops you into a little slice of Bavaria. Our beer hall buzzes with festive European charm and staff dressed in traditional Bavarian style, and your reserved table is waiting for the whole group. A Bavarian welcome beer lands in front of every guest, and a basket of fresh baked brezels arrives for the table to share. Raise a toast to the bride, Bavarian style, and get the photo of her clinking glasses with every single girl. If the brezels awaken a schnitzel craving, the kitchen is right there for anyone keen to keep the theme going. Want to go all in? Add our Bavarian feast for a litre stein each, a bonus stein for the hen, platters of house favourites and a round of schnapps for the table.
Now the day turns into a night. We are swapping lager for glamour in our glam cocktail lounge, hidden in a Melbourne laneway, where plush velvet booths glow under custom neon and glittering pendants. VIP entry is sorted with the cover charge waived, and your VIP booth is yours for two whole hours. Then it is time to switch drinks: a surprise bottle of bubbly for your hen, because every beer bride needs one bubbly moment on her hens. Watch her pretend she is not delighted. She is.
