Is your bride the one who laughs hardest when it all goes sideways? Then On A Roll was made for her. It starts slow and sunny on a bowling green and then flatly refuses to slow down, picking up a little more sparkle at every turn until she is toasting from a velvet booth in the city. A crew of seven, bride included, and not one flat moment between the first roll and the last pop of the cork. Ready? Let's roll!
It all begins with a glass of house bubbly for every guest and a stunning green stretched out in front of you. Shoes come off. Toes hit cool grass. You have two whole hours of barefoot bowls ahead, every bit of gear sorted and a quick lesson on hand if anyone would like one. The rules take a minute to learn and forgetting them is half the fun. Teams form and the trash talk begins, and before long the quiet one is quietly winning.
Save the last bowl of the day for the bride. If it lands near the jack, she is a legend. If it sails off the edge of the green, she is still a legend and the photos are funnier. Either way, the whole crew is on its feet.
Then the day shifts up a gear. Want to arrive like a crew on a winning streak? Add our limo tour, raise a glass of bubbly in the back and let the driver pull over for a glam photo stop on the way.
Next up is our waterfront bar, a riverside cocktail bar with a flower wall and Melbourne views across the water. Your reserved seating is waiting. A round of bubbly is poured for everyone on arrival, then the delicious tapas share plates land in the middle of the table, enough to call it a proper dinner. Grab the group shot in front of the flower wall now, while the lipstick is still perfect. Somewhere between plates, a bonus cocktail arrives for your hen. Nobody else gets one. That is the whole point.
And the day is not done yet. It rolls on again, over the river and down a Melbourne laneway to our glam cocktail lounge. Inside, glittering pendants hang over plush velvet and the custom neon glows. Your very own VIP booth is reserved for two whole hours, with entry sorted and the cover charge waived. A surprise bottle of bubbly arrives for your hen and the whole booth cheers. When your song comes on, the dance floor is right there, so dance the night away and slide back onto the velvet for a breather.
Bowls to booth, it is a day that never loses its momentum, and neither will she. When she is raising a glass in that booth with you right beside her, grinning like she has just won the whole tournament, everyone at the table will know whose idea this was. Take the win.
