Cue the disco strings, because this crew is about to prove it has serious staying power. Stein Alive is the hens night for the girls who would rather hold an axe than a cake pop, and who fully intend to still be dancing when the booth bubbly pops. It starts on the lanes and ends in a VIP booth, with a very large beer in between. Bring your competitive streak for the axes and save your dancing energy for later.
First, the lanes. All equipment is included, and after a safety briefing your My Ultimate AXE-pert coach walks the crew through the technique behind the perfect throw. After that, it's your one hour Vi Queen session and a full blown axe throwing competition. The trash talk starts almost immediately. The bride turns wildly competitive, and somebody's warm up throw sails right past the target to a round of applause. Within minutes you'll spot the power thrower and the girl serving fierce poses between rounds. By the end of the hour, you'll know exactly who has been hiding warrior energy all along. Keep the camera ready for slow motion victory photos.
And when the bride sinks her strongest throw of the hour, the cheer from this crew could shake the lanes.
Then the night goes full Bavarian. Our beer hall is a little piece of Bavaria in the heart of Melbourne, buzzing and loud, with staff in traditional dress. Your reserved table is waiting and a one litre stein of German beer arrives for every girl, plus a bonus stein for the bride, who is now officially the hen with a stein in each hand. Get that photo: the bride, both steins up, grinning like she has just won the lot. Beer pretzels come first, then epic platters of German specialties like schnitzel, pork belly, mixed wurst skewers and mashed potatoes. And just as the crew sits back, a round of schnapps lands on the table. Someone will attempt a toast in German, and everyone will cheer anyway. Prost to staying power!
Last stop, and the crew is still standing. Down a Melbourne laneway, our glam cocktail lounge glows under custom neon, and VIP entry with a waived cover charge gets you straight in. Your VIP booth is yours for two hours, plush velvet and all, and a surprise bottle of bubbly for your hen pops for the toast. Stein alive? Absolutely. Now dance the night away.
