Hatchets First. Hats After.
Your bride has two settings: fearless and fabulous. Hats and Hatchets lets her switch between them all day, starting with an axe in her hand and finishing with a rhinestone cowboy hat on her head while she dances the night away. Honestly? Legendary behaviour. It is the cowgirl hens for the bride with a wild streak, and with just the six of you, bride included, every girl gets plenty of throws and plenty of spotlight.
The day kicks off in our axe throwing arena, where timber lanes and targets are lined up and waiting. Axes before any bubbly, obviously. Your very own AXE-pert coach runs the safety briefing and shows everyone the technique, all equipment included, and then the two hour axe throwing competition is on. It is a multi round showdown with a full range of axe sizes, so the girls who want to go full power and the girls who want to pose between rounds both find their groove.
The first bullseye gets a standing ovation. And when your bride flicks her hair back and lands one dead centre, the whole lane loses its mind. Get that slow motion video for the wedding slideshow.
Then it is an easy stroll, boots and all, to your own glam hideaway. For the next two hours your private room is all yours, with girly pink hues, neon lighting, hanging greenery and sleek decor, and a house cocktail lands in every hand on arrival. Now the hat design workshop begins. Your personal host walks the table through it step by step, and every girl gets her own cowboy hat plus a mountain of ribbons, leather bands, feathers, charms, studs, rhinestones and dried florals to decorate her way.
Naturally the bride's hat gets the most rhinestones, because that is the law. By the time the last feather is on, a row of very different cowgirls is grinning back from the camera roll, and every one of those hats is coming out tonight and going home with its owner after.
Hats on, it is time to eat. Your reserved seating in the main dining area is ready, and the delicious share plates start arriving for the table, a proper feed after all that throwing. Then a bonus cocktail for the hen arrives, and she raises it from under the brim of her brand new hat.
One more easy stroll and the night finds its final chapter in our fabulous cocktail lounge, right in the Melbourne CBD. Your VIP booth is reserved for two whole hours, plush velvet under glowing custom neon, with the cover charge waived and the staff already told it is a cowgirl night. A surprise bottle of bubbly for your hen arrives at the booth, and the dance floor is just steps away for some serious boot scooting. If you fancy a lap of the city first, add our limo tour and sip bubbly on the way to your booth.
When she is up on that dance floor in her rhinestone hat and grabs your hand to spin you round, right there next to her, she will know exactly who made her feel like the queen of the rodeo. Round of applause for you, cowgirl.
